Fried Chicken Cook-Off: Thomas Keller vs. My Mom →
Yum! As much as I love to cook, fried chicken is something I have actually NEVER made at home. I hate cooking with / cleaning up after using that much oil, and we have this fantastic place around the corner, but I think we’ll have to give it a try soon.

Happy Hour Tonight!
Tonight is the first night of Hops & Chops, the weekly happy hour that aims to consolidate all those random coffee and lunch meetings into one evening of beer and fun.
The idea is “same place, same time” - every thursday night, if you want to meet new people and talk shop, you’ll know where to go.(*)
The theme is somewhat web/startup-focused, since that’s what a bunch...

Expanding the Cloud →
Amazon announced their CDN today, which lets you mark your S3 buckets to magically be served from edge locations around the world. Assuming it is priced as reasonably as their other offerings, this should be a great upgrade for everyone using S3 to serve their media and static content.
The shots from the internet explorer ice sculpture were exactly how I would have imagined shots from an internet explorer ice sculpture tasting. I’m just glad it wasn’t jager.

Hello TeachStreet!
Friday was my last day at Mixpo. There were a variety of reasons in my decision to leave, but I think the biggest was a desire to work on something I am passionate about. When I joined the company in April, I was looking for structure, and a good organization to learn from, and while the role and the technology at Mixpo were a great fit, I don’t think I spent enough time thinking about the...

Clicky for the iPhone →
Clicky is an awesome web analytics package for small websites, and is perfect for blogs/tumblelogs (I use it on this site). It is like google analytics, but more catered to drilling in to specific visitors and their actions, and has a much friendlier interface. Now it’s even better, with their new iPhone interface!
