Monopoly: The .com Edition
The recent news about Yahoo! shutting down Geocities inspired me to pull out my old “.com edition” of Monopoly and reminisce.  This edition was made around 1999/2000 and while most of the properties on the board still exist today, their location/presence on the board would be much different 10 years later.
Other fun bits about this edition:
Pieces: Mouse, E-Mail, Flat-panel monitor, “Bug”, PC Tower, Web Browser, and a surfboard (for the web, of course.)
The base unit of currency is a million dollars.
Chance and Community Chest are “E-Mail Just In” and “Download”, and feature such gems as “Buy Link on other players’ websites. Pay $50 million to each player.”
Utilities are Linux and Sun Microsystems
Luxury Tax is ISP Fee.
Railroads are “Connectivity Providers”: Nokia, AT&T, MCI Worldcom, and Sprint.
No “Google” on the board!
