Flipping through the real estate listings today, I saw this unit for sale. What’s so special about it? Well, it’s the first place I ever bought, back in 1999. I loved that building, and we constantly lament that we moved out when we did, rather than buying one of the larger units.

The colors and furniture have changed a little over the past 10 years, but fun to see the things that haven’t:

  • The blinds I finally bought after many nights of sitting at my desk in boxers, and looking out to see swarms of guys staring up at me from the eagle at closing time.
  • The pot rack above the sink, that I squeezed in with about a 1/4 inch to spare.
  • And, the kitchen sink itself, which I installed using only an old bread knife!

Good times…
