I learned Lisp a long time ago for a computer music class I took. I never got into it enough to appreciate it, besides that I’ve never forgotten the paren-matching command in vi :)
That said, I was programming in Perl a lot at the time, so the “weirdness” didn’t really bother me too much.
I decided to learn Lisp, Dan said that it will make other languages feel like I am programming in a straight jacket. After reading this I am already starting to see how.
