Interestingly, Starbucks recently acquired Coffee Equipment Company, a Seattle-based company that created the “Clover”. The Clover is a high-end commercial drip coffee machine that makes cups of drip coffee one at a time, so that every customer can have a perfectly fresh and customized cup o’ joe. Hopefully, these will start replacing the current generation of drip machines at starbucks; providing both better coffee and less waste.
Personally, I always just order americanos, because drip is too inconsistent.
