I can’t remember the last time I went to a McDonalds, but was led there today by the following perfect storm: Michael has been talking about Chick-Fil-A recently McDonalds has a new “southern-style” chicken sandwich a la Chick-Fil-A, with no condiments except for a couple pickles Today, those sandwiches are free This morning, I was talking to my coworker Matt, who told me his dad makes the buns for McDonalds There is a McDonalds 1 block from my office The verdict? Meh, the sandwich was okay. I only vaguely remember Chick-Fil-A from my east coast days, but in my memories it was a nicer piece of meat. The McD’s one also had an odd flavor to it, perhaps from the oil. Will I be frequenting McDonalds now? Highly doubtful, although the fries were as salty and satisfying as I remember.
