A note on OpenClip

The SDK Agreement states that an Application may only write data within its designated container; it doesn’t address reading data, so technically, this is not in violation, as each participating app writes within its own space, and OpenClip relies on the fact that background apps are not allowed to know to use the most recently saved ‘copy’ when ‘pasting’.

This means that applications can read any data from other applications. This is a very bad thing, a tremendous security hole, and definitely not allowed by the SDK agreement.

Update: I did just notice, however, that the SDK Agreement forbids press releases or “any other public statements” regarding the Agreement, so I wonder if technically this thread is forbidden…
