IntelliScreen is an awesome iPhone app, giving your iPhone lock screen similar functionality to the Windows Mobile and Blackberry “today”-style homescreens.
Instead of the standard iPhone lock-screen, which only shows the time and your background picture, IntelliScreen turns lock-mode into a useful interface showing recent emails, upcoming calendar events, weather, and more. Even cooler, you can swipe anything on the screen to both unlock the screen and launch the appropriate application in one action.
You need to jailbreak your iphone first, but IntelliScreen alone is reason enough to do that. IntelliScreen is commercial software, but the $5 version does everything I want, and (if you couldn’t tell) I’m super happy with it.
