I sure hope so…
I struggled with the lack of adoption of video mail before, during, and since we started Eyejot. Uses are compelling and obvious for both businesses and consumers, but it has never made it past novelty/niche adoption. I actually don’t think it is a matter of awareness as David suggests, but rather a lack of want. The greatest benefits of video are best experienced bi-directionally, and in realtime. When I’m just leaving a message, I actually prefer email or txt.
