We’ve been buying Haagen-Dazs “Five” ice cream recently, and it is really delicious. The marketing - and the ingredient list - are based around the concept that there are only five components to the ice cream: milk, cream, sugar, eggs, and whatever the main flavor is.
We’ve tried passion fruit (something you don’t get enough of in the U.S!), mint, brown sugar, and ginger, and they are all as close to homemade as I could imagine from a grocery store pint, with perfect custardy texture and clean flavor profiles. Definitely pick some up the next time you’re at the store.
