Mark Lanegan - Where did you sleep last night?

A traditional folk song that has been covered by countless artists; the version people of our generation are most familiar with is probably Nirvana’s, from their landmark MTV Unplugged performance.

A few years before that session, however, Mark Lanegan released this version on his album “The Winding Sheet”, and it is one of my favorites. (And, yes, that’s kurt singing backup)
